Private Label wine is growing in popularity like never before with a wide variety of methods and equipment. Before you start, browse the internet for information on supplies you may need, home wine-making supply shops in your area. There is basic wine making equipment that can be purchased on line, or if less expensive is the way you want to go, start with a kit and add the extra pieces as you get your wine making off the ground. Extra pieces can always be purchased later.
Make sure your kit includes oak chips and elderberries, if not they can be purchased separately. Some kits include a blend of grape concentrate, grape juice, sugar and yeast along with a stabilizer and clarifying agent. Other kits include a hydrometer, sample jar and wine corker. Your Private labeled wine is well on its way!
When you have your equipment ready you should have an idea of the variety of wine you wish to make. When you choose your grapes, it will depend on what grapes you can grow or the purchase availability to make your Private Label wine. Any grapes you purchase should be free of insects and clean, noting any that may be rotten or discolored. Make sure all stems are off so your wine will not have a bitter taste.
